Skeeter Launches
ZX22V Bay Boat

New Model Meets the Needs of Inshore Anglers Nationwide

KILGORE, Texas, March 16, 2006 - Skeeter Boats announces the introduction of the ZX22V Bay Boat, a product years in the design phase and perfected through rigorous on-the-water testing, capable of meeting the specific needs of inshore anglers of U.S. coastlines along the Pacific Coast, Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Coast.

"The ZX22V Bay Boat is the ultimate saltwater coastal fishing machine in the 22-foot length category," says Ben Jarrett, Skeeter's National Sales Manager. According to Jarrett, Skeeter receives product design requests from every segment of the US coast. "For every 200 miles of our coastal waters, there are specific needs and desires that anglers have, and the ZX22V brings all those into one package."

The ZX22V Bay Boat combines all of the attributes an angler needs to run fast, smooth and dry in rough waters when seeking gamefish outside of protected waters, including a 19" interior depth and no splash-well design.  Its 14"-16" draft allows anglers to float shallow for inshore sportfish.

At 22' 6 _" with a 101" beam, the ZX22V has the size to accommodate eight passengers and gear with a maximum weight capacity of 1,851 pounds.  Its length and beam provide ample space for gear storage and maximum use of the boat's two wide-open fishing platforms.  And, with a 60-gallon fuel tank, long-range fishing is not a problem.
The bow and stern fishing platforms feature three stainless steel seat bases for optional 13" fixed height fishing seat or bike seat with Power Pro Pole.  A 32-gallon rear/center live/releasewell and oval-shaped console baitwell both feature fill and recirculation modes with timer to keep bait refreshed.  Gear and rods can be stored in the ZX22V's bow storage box, insulated 32-gallon starboard/bow fishbox, four tubular horizontal rod storage holders and rear storage area.  Passengers will appreciate the dual occupant pneumatic hideaway rear bench seating.

The center console features tilt hydraulic steering, a comfortable leaning post with removable 94-quart cooler, courtesy lighting and Yamaha instrumentation, including multifunction speedometer, fuel gauge, clock, tachometer, trim gauge, horn, oil status, and analog water pressure gauge.

The ZX22V features a wide selection of optional colors for hull striping, performance flakes, performance gels, and performance upholstery.  To build your personalized ZX22V, visit the "Build My Skeeter" section of www.skeeterboats.com. Additional optional equipment includes Yamaha Command Link, removable leaning post with back rest or driver's flip/flop seating, 12" hydraulic jack plate, trim tabs, electronics from LowranceÆ and HumminbirdÆ and a selection of Minn KotaÆ trolling motors.

The ZX22V can accommodate a wide selection of Yamaha four-stroke engines, including the F200, F225 and F250.  The ZX22V rides on a full body, all welded construction aluminum trailer with tandem axle, disc brakes, flush kit, radial tires, tie downs and spare tire/carrier.
