Performance Metals
Sacrificial Anodes

Navalloy Anode Name Registered
While the high-quality anodes from Performance Metals are commonly called "aluminum," they also contain 5% zinc and traces of indium to ensure they stay active. To more accurately describe this material,

Performance Metals has registered its premium line of sacrificial anodes under the Navalloy name.

"Boaters often asked how aluminum anodes could protect aluminum sterndrives and outboards. The Navalloy name helps eliminate this confusion," said company president Martin Wigg. "We wanted to give this high-performance material a real identity with a unique name."

Compared to zinc products, Navalloy is self-cleaning and lasts up to 30% longer. For use in both salt and freshwater, the environmentally friendly anodes will reactivate after being exposed to the atmosphere. An exclusive "red dot" wear indicator shows when a replacement is needed. Navalloy sacrificial anodes meet military specification MIL-A-24779.

Recommended for Mercury sterndrives, Navalloy shaft, rudder, trim tab and hull anodes are also available from Performance Metals.
